WHO WE ARE

The Foursquare Gospel Church believes in...

The term “Foursquare” stands for the four-fold ministry of Jesus Christ as the Savior (Romans 10:9),

Baptizer with the Holy Spirit (Luke 3:16),

Healer (1 Peter 2:24) and

Coming King (Acts 1:11).

The Foursquare Church - officially the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel was founded in Los Angeles, California, by Aimee Semple McPherson in 1923.

Amid the revival days of the early 1900’s, this fellowship of believers was born, determined to proclaim the solid scriptural core of Pentecostal renewal, avoiding the extremes of fanaticism on one hand and materialism

on the other.

God, in His grace, has allowed us to grow from the one local fellowship to nearly 2000 churches in the United States and Canada. The Foursquare Church has also been established in over 110 countries of the world. These numbers are rapidly increasing.

We have no desire to compete or compare. We rejoice for every body of believers which lifts the blood stained banner of Jesus Christ. The Foursquare Church is a member of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) and as a Pentecostal Church is affiliated with the Pentecostal-Charismatic Churches of North America (PCCNA) and the Pentecostal World Conference.
